We are a family of 6 people. We lost our daughter Olivia, type 1, to SMA when she was three years old. The reasons for going to conference are many. Hannah has wanted to go to a conference for many years. Hannah is almost 19 years old with SMA type 1. She so enjoyed her trip last year, she wants to badly go again. She would like to see to see others not only like her who are age face to face. She would also like to meet her friends that she talks to on Facebook and Skype. She likes to make new friends. Hannah wants to learn more about being an adult with SMA as she is also interested in going to college. I think she would be an encouragement to other parents and children like her due to her age. She is a young lady who is wanting to reach out and meet others like her. She loves life, if full of faith, and spirit and genuinely loves people. She might sign for you to talk on a panel or introduce a speaker etc, if asked. This would be a huge trip and fun experience for Hannah and her siblings to meet other like her who have the dame abilities who are overcomes of their disabilities. As Hannah's parents, we would be encouraged by meeting other SMA families and learning how they cope especially after so many years.
Unite 4 Peyton helped make Hannah's trip come true!!!
